ENERGOFUTURA® 2009 OPTIMAL WAYS OF ENERGY SECURING FOR SLOVAKIA 11th - 12th November 2009

Food and Function 2009, the International Scientific Conference on Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods was held between 9th - 11th June 2009 in the university city of Zilina, Slovakia. The conference programme focused on current advances in the research of nutraceuticals and functional foods and their present and future role in maintaining health and preventing diseases.

IPC 2008 was a successful conference with a good blend of scientific, social and cultural content. I enjoyed and benefited from the in dept overviews of the invited speakers, and took a good glimpse at the research of participants at the well paced oral presentations and plentiful posters. The size of the conference was adequate to allow good interactions between participants. The administration and choice of venue was excellent.
